Can I transfer cinema units from other schools?

Yes, but a six-unit maximum applies to courses taken at two-year universities, and is limited to courses in film/video production and/or screenwriting ONLY. Courses in film history and film studies at two-year universities cannot be counted toward the major. All transfer credits toward the Cinema major are determined on a case-by-case basis by a faculty advisor. If you are seeking transfer credit, bring a transcript from your previous school as well as a copy of the syllabus for the class you want to transfer. The advisor must decide whether the work done in that class can be counted for our department. Advisors must approve and sign off on the transfer units.
