Most students use the MA program as an opportunity to pursue topics of interest in greater depth. This provides to them a stronger base from which to enter the job market or enter doctoral programs. MA graduates have found work in archives, media art centers, libraries, schools, colleges and universities, with film and video distributors and exhibitors, with filmmakers and producers, and in journalism and criticism. Some MA graduates enter doctoral programs. Graduates from here have pursued doctoral work at Columbia, NYU, University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Rochester University, Emory, USC, University of Texas at Austin, University of Minnesota, UC Berkeley and UCLA, among others.
